Prestigious French candle house Cire Trudon celebrated the Australian launch of their highly anticipated perfume collection ‘Trudon’, with Paris-based creative director Julien Pruvost hosting a number of luxury press and consumer events across Sydney and Melbourne.
Hosted by Cire Trudon’s Australian distributor Agence de Parfum together with luxury public relations agency Élysée Collective, Mr Pruvost marked the launch of the Trudon collection with an intimate lunch at Australia’s most awarded restaurant, Quay.
The breathtaking Sydney harbour setting was chosen for the decadent showcase of the Trudon collection, where natural light and the reflective water offered the perfect backdrop for the revered house.
Central to the styling was each of the signature scents arranged alongside glass cloches that encased a classic gold Trudon emblem, perfumed with the respective fragrance. Cire Trudon candles and busts adorned the private dining space, interspersed with crisp leafy green and white floral arrangements by renowned event stylists, Sticks and Wicks.
Guests indulged on Quay’s famous menu, created by executive chef Peter Gilmore, whilst Mr Pruvost enlightened guests with a historic olfactive journey detailing the origins of the world’s oldest and most revered candle house and the unique inspirations behind the highly anticipated fragrance collection.
In addition to the lunch, Mr Pruvost held a day of private masterclasses at Libertine Parfumerie’s Sydney showroom, showcasing the five Trudon scents; Bruma, Olim, II, Révolution and Mortel to journalists from Vogue Living, Grazia, Popsugar, Byrdie, Country Style, Delicious and The Versatile Gent.
A celebratory consumer event was also held with Australian luxury retailer Vintage Luggage Company to mark the arrival of the Trudon collection instore. High profile clientele and tastemakers were in attendance as Mr Pruvost took guests on a sensory journey of each fragrance’s inspiration and the brands revered history.
Concluding Trudon’s Australian tour, Mr Pruvost travelled to Melbourne for an exclusive soiree with acclaimed Australian retailer and Cire Trudon stockist Peony. Hosted by founder Jill Timms, the exclusive instore event saw Melbourne’s style and scent elite celebrate the launch of Trudon with Mr Pruvost as the guest of honour.
Staying true to the house’s ethos of promoting creativity, freedom and showcasing a variety of expertise, Cire Trudon has collaborated with highly praised perfumers Lyn Harris, Antoine Lie and Yann Vasnier, coming together to create an exceptional fine fragrance collection.
Inspired by Parisian landmarks chosen for their evocative meaning, the Trudon collection features five stand-alone scents each containing an olfactory complexity that hints at a character rather than a gender: Bruma, Olim, II, Revolution and Mortel.
Trudon is available in Australia at Agence de Parfum’s retail arm Libertine Parfumerie, online through www.libertineparfumerie.com.au, as well as other niche perfumeries and boutiques in Australia and New Zealand.
