Internationally acclaimed florist and author Saskia Havekes celebrated the launch of her latest fragrance Boronia with intimate press appointments showcasing the new scent and full collection at her famed Grandiflora studio in Potts Point.
Co-hosted by Grandiflora’s Australian distributor, Agence de Parfum, together with appointed luxury public relations agency Élysée Collective, the series of presentations were led by Saskia, famed not just for arranging florals but for curating them, for where drama, scale and sensual depth is her signature.
Throughout each appointment, Saskia presented guests with a brief history of the brand and an olfactory showcase of the story and complexities behind each fragrance. With each perfume a unique masterpiece, the collection comprises five scents that capture the entwining of memory, fragility and desire in an homage to the elusive flower: Sandrine, Michel, Madagascan Jasmine, Queen of the Night and Boronia.
A floral cave was created exclusively for the activation, greeting guests with a petal canvas covering the floor upon entry and throughout. Delicate canape’s of smoked ocean trout bellinis, French macarons and vanilla bean custard tartlets by Sides and Main were served to guests, accompanied with Perrier-Jouet champagne and sparkling elderflower cordial.
Guests in attendance included editors from prominent lifestyle and beauty publications including The Australian Financial Review, Grazia, Qantas Magazine, Marie Claire, ELLE and Harper’s BAZAAR, Executive Style and Vogue Australia, as well as industry commentators such as Margaret Khoury, Kirstie Clements and Elisabeth King.
Guests were gifted the fragrance of their choice from the full collection, as well as miniature samples of each scent and a Grandiflora press book.
