Cire Trudon launch at Hotel Centennial

Australia’s most esteemed design, beauty and lifestyle journalists and bloggers gathered for a long-table, candle-lit dinner at Hotel Centennial in Woollahra in March to celebrate prestigious French candle house Cire Trudon’s new Australian partnership with niche fragrance distributor Agence de Parfum.

Hosted by the distributor, together with luxury public relations agency Élysée Collective, the candle-lit showcase saw the editors celebrate the origins of the world’s oldest and most revered regarded candle house and welcomed the brand’s international commercial director Elodie Herreria as special guest for the event.

In attendance was many of the most influential editors and bloggers in the industry including Eleanor Pendleton from Gritty Pretty; Talisa Sutton from Badlands Blog; David Novak-Piper from Vogue Living; Carlie Fowler from The File; interiors specialist Steve Cordony; former Vogue Australia editor in chief Kirstie Clements; Belle Editor Tanya Buchanan and Country Style Editor Victoria Carey.

Showcasing the beauty of the luxurious candle house, a decadent display of flickering Cire Trudon candles, busts, and other signature pieces were styled throughout the space, interspersed with gold candelabras and white and pale pink antique roses, grouped together to create a moody, Parisian aesthetic.

Aligning with the brand’s French origins, Hotel Centennial executive chef Justin North exclusively created a French-inspired three course meal for guests, complemented by Pol Roger champagne and French wines.

Throughout the event international guest Elodie Herreira took guests on an anecdotal journey from Cire Trudon’s rich heritage, including an illustrious short film whilst drawing on historical touch points that make the house so special.

Cire Trudon is the world’s oldest and most revered candle manufacturer, renowned for its rich and royal narration, the strength of its legacy and its genuine commitment to quality, with nearly four centuries of expertise unrivalled in candle manufacturing, showcased through historic moments in French history.

Cire Trudon is available in Australia at Agence de Parfum’s retail arm Libertine Parfumerie, online through, as well as other niche perfumeries and boutiques in Australia and New Zealand.
